"Three Simple Virtues to Make the World a Better Place"

"Three Simple Virtues to Make the World a Better Place"

3 Simple and yet so powerful virtues that we can practice as a Human Being which will make this world a better place.

Disclaimer- I do not claim that I have 100% adapted these virtues. There's still a long way to go. All I can say is this is a personal observation and as we grow, we evolve so eventually this list might get modified and extended as well.😌😂

1. Practicing Empathy

I've an entirely separate blog on this one. PRACTICING EMPATHY

What is feel is one of the bestest things that you can do as a Human Being is to practice empathy. Now this might feel very shallow or one may think that what difference does it makes, but it does make a lot of difference. Every single person we meet in any Sphere of life is facing multiple battles with himself/herself which no one is aware of. Needlessly, if we are being kind or showing empathy in such matters, then it really matters. And trust me, we may use this word "Independent" very casually in our day to day conversations, but it's practically impossible to become entirely Independent.

Topic to debate? 😂

Let's take an example hypothetically. You fell ill. What would you do? Take medicines.  Okay? But still fever is high, what now ? Will see a doctor quite obvious. Now if here in this case if you say I'm a strong and independence person will that work? Absolutely not. Regardless of that you'll be having a need to see a doctor. That's the point. We can't live by ourselves all the time. So when we practice empathy, people reciprocate that and at times of need we would get that support from them. Caz we'll are humans who is a societal being.

2. Being Fair

The quality which I appreciate the most is being fair and taking the right stand regardless of who and what you're.

World is a harsh place. And if you go back and see history we've been seeing and hearing this ki- "Jamane ke sath chalna pdta hai".

This is true. But at what cost? If it is costing you something then is it really worth it?

Recently I saw 2 films.

I'll share my PoV here.

Maharaja- The film depicts the struggle of a journalist Karsandas who somehow discovers the ill practices that were taking place in the Haveli in the name of Charan Sparsh Ritual. When he found about this, and decided to fought he was not only left all alone but was disowned by his own family as well.

Fairly, now it's quite obvious why each one of us are afraid to follow the fair or the right path or to stand against the unjust.

Do Patti- The film that received mixed reviews. But what I personally liked about it was, if it you know you're on the fair path and still manipulation is not letting you prove it in front of the world then use it (manipulation) as a weapon and go get justice.

The film that truly articulated that merely being fair isn't enough. You should have a courage to stand up and be accountable for the path you've chosen.

Is being fair easy? No. Not at all.

In addition to that life is subjective. what's fair to me might be unfair to you and vice-versa.

All we can do is follow what out heart says and go ahead with it.

3. Being Conscious (aware)

I'll explain what do I mean by this term.

Let's take an example. You did some act of kindness or thoughtfulness to someone.

Now there are 4 ways how anyone can react or act to it.

a) No reaction

b) Conscious or aware about the act of kindness what we call in Marathi as जाणीव

c) To cherish the act what we call in Marathi as जपणे

d) To reciprocate and have gratitude abt it  what we call in ,Marathi as परतावा & कृतज्ञता

If you've noticed these are in increasing order of greatfulness.

Atleast what you can do practice as a Human Being is to be conscious about the act.

Next to cherish the act. I don't know how many of Marathi people reading this blog, but if you've seen the Marathi movie "काकण" then you would probably know about this.

For those who's haven't yet seen. There's a female protagonist who loves her beau unconditionally and madly. I remember there conversation which was like this where there's male protagonist says "I may not know how to love you madly, but i do know how to cherish it."

AND , he literally proves it all her belongings & gifts were with himself till his last breath. That's what is cherishness.

And the greatest thing you can do is to reciprocate. The ultimate one.

So, these are the top 3 virtues which if we can atleast practice 10% or 20% of them, then the world will be a better place. Leave this world, the feeling you get after doing some act of kindness is exceptional and unparalleled. 😊😇
